I got a 96 lude with mad rust on the sun roof...ive looked around and at junk yards and havted found a good replacement...so if i dig all the rust out and then bondo it will it work? or will the bondo crack?...also the rust is on/real close to the seal so will i leak?(iam not leaking yet)

 

if it is really big and rusted all the way through you may wanna fibreglass it then bondo over it... if you just bondo it lots of times it does crack... actually now that i thought about it for a second... they actually sell a fibreglass based bondo, it may be a good idea to try that. but make sure you sand ALL of the rust off of the metal... then bondo/fibreglass it, then seal it with primer(can of spray paint), then primer sealer(can of spary paint)... then you get it painted

 

had the same issue with my lude...i had s/n dangerranger...enhanced concepts i think swap it out for the 97+ glass sunroof...it was not a direct swap but was only minor fab work...after we took out the old one i touched the spot where it had a lil rust and i put my finger right threw it...it was the only part of the lude that had rust and i heard its a comon problem..imo swap to the glass
