i did it twice in my 97 Y7, same deal. luckily i never bent a rod... the first time it had so much water in it i had to push it to my buddies house, pull the plugs, and it shot water fuckin 30 feet in the air. i dried it out, drove it home, changed the oil, no probs. i put another 50k miles on the motor after the second time.
just change the oil, like everyone says, and get rid of the damn CAI. it will fuck you one of these times. its just not worth it...

my d16 has 218,956 miles on it (will post pics if you dont believe me), and STILL beat the shit out of it and it still runs hard every morning when i wake up. If my motor has not died yet...you got a loooong way buddy

Hehe. Thanks guys. Yea I just took out the Cold air intake today and put my old short ram back. I don't need the cold air intake anymore so it's up for grabs pm if any of you want it. Lol.

MY first motor swap ever was a 1st gen b16a.I beat it up for 4 years with not 1 problem but syncro's starting to go bad.It seen 8500 rpm's daily.Thay are pretty stong motors if you ask me..I say its all up to the oil on how long it will last.Oil is your back bone..Dont be cheap about it..Spend the extra bucks for synthetic .I run Royal purple in every car i have every had for 14 years and counting..I have never blown a motor..

good move. dont even waste ur money on one w/ a bypass, it doesnt do shit. my friend had a CAI w/ a bypass and still sucked up water. twice. just put a heat shield on that bitch and ur good to go.

and if your so woried about your motor blowin stop beating the shit outa it daily... get a little bit of self control its like getting laid dont just run into it you gota take it slow some times, or she will let you down
