ok... that may be your problem... not having an oxygen sensor hooked up can cause you car to run wierd bogging down and such... it may be in your best interest to have someone locate the original wires to wire it back up the original way...
also... with that unplugged it will be hard to get a proper reading of the thrown engine codes... so you may wanna locate the wires, hook it back up, then take ur car to autozone to get that free check engine light test
Stock ECU? OBD0. Turn the key on, then pull down the carpet on the passenger side and look at your ECU, it has a flashing red led light. They do single blinks. Count the number of blinks you see. When you see a long pause, wait and count the number of blinks again. If it is the same number you are only flashing one code, if you have a different number of blinks after the long pause then you have a second code. Repeat until the same number of blinks occur after each long pause.
You can find the ECU codes online with a search.
Hope this helps.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
