atf.WHAt type auto fluid in a honda/

what kind of automatic fluid should i use in a d16 95 auto tranny?i no honda shit but its late walmart sell anything till honda opens? if anyone is up

ive heard you should only use honda ATF my buddy has a auto 4dr. civic put generic, well not generic but non honda ATF and the tranny doesnt slip but doesnt go into gear sometimes....stick with honda ATF!

if you use regular dextron, you can buy a friction modifier additive to eliminate shifting problems. this additive is used for hondas and chryslers.

yes i do believe it is good well i drained it out and went to walmart and flused the whole tranny with there supertech cheap stuff then filled it and drove it to honda and did not miss a shift nor bog or anything but i drained that out flused it with the honda atfz and filled it again and it is is good to go

Some people use the GM spec Dextron tranny oil.
I never had trouble with any Honda I used it in.

With a manual trans, Gm also sells some for that too,
but it is not cheap.-Bob

dextron will work but it will fuck wit shifting and make the tranny not last as long.....but it will work in a pinch til you get the honda atf.......basically exactly what you did....but you know you cant just drain it all out through the bottom right? you only get like 1/3 of it
