Will z6 tranny work on y8?

I was wondering if a d16z6 tranny will work on a 1996 d16y8? It is an automatic tranny. Thanks in advance.

the tranny will bolt up to the engine, but the upper mount is different and the tcm will not communicate properly.

thanks man, but i'm actually trying to sell my z6 tranny and some lady called and asked if it would work on her car so I thought i would ask here
