Default NEED HELP.. how to take off linkage..off tranny

i have a z6 tranny that i blew up and i bought a y8 tranny.. the y8 tranny i bought didnt come with a shift linkage so i took the one off the z6.. but there is two shift linkages and one comes off with a bolt and the other one has a boot. i pulled the boot down and there is a pin in it, i was trying to nock it out but wont come out.. hopfully you guys know what im talkin about.. do i have to take it to the shop..?? lmk thanks

Need a 8pt punch and this is commonly known as the "bitch pin".

I guess so. Just hit the pin out with the 8 point punch. I don't know how else to explain it. Hammer it back in place when reattaching.

just use a 12mm exhaust bolt. Way easier then a punch.

Yea man just use a 12mm spare bolt that you might have laying around it is just as easy as using a Punch. Good Luck

w00t! And put the tranny in 2nd or 4th. Put the shortest moment arm you can on the shift rod so you don't go balls out and bend it.
