need help with a mini me build up.
ok,this is the deal.i just bought a eg with a boosted mini me swap.the turbo kit is kinda shitty, (homemade) it has the xs power t3/t4 turbo,xs power manifold, and xs power waste gate,it also has a greddy type s for the bov.it is currently running at 10psi.the car is decent but i would like it to handle more.from what i have seen in the past few days the engine seems to be low compression.i had to change the headgasket and i took a gander at the pistons, they are DEEP dish.what i am getting at is that i want to buy some decent rods but for a decent price, pistons, bearings, rings, etc etc.i do not want to spend a fortion but i want my single cam to handle a little more then what it has atm.so here are my questions.
what rods should i get?
what pistons?
what bearings?
will the timing belt be an issue?(maybe a stronger belt?)
i know that i will have to get some head work so i need some pointers there on what springs/retainers/valves to buy maybe some cams? my price range will be around 2500.00 on the build,so i dont want to buy all top of the line stuff but nothing cheezy that will not last either.if you guys can point me in the right direction that would be great.my goal is to have a quick car not a stupid fast car,i want somewere around 220 whp maybe?if that is possible,i got a nice platform to work with but the motor needs to be a bit stronger for the boost i want to have if you get my drift.
