Default 84mm Piston Question

WELL,I just got my gsr block back from golden eagle and i am wondering what pistons you guys are running with your turbo set ups and how they worked out.I am going to use a SC61 and i am looking for a good 500+ hp.I have been looking into the golden eagle forged stroker set ups so with that i think i have to use the golden eagle stroker pistons but i would like to hear some input on quality of differant pistons you guys are using. This is my first turbo set up so i would like to get a heads up before starting. Thanks TR.

Buy the brand new CP's I have for sale! They are 84mm 9.0:1 CR. These are what I was going to use in my monster build but now I'm selling it all. You know you want it!

CP pistons seem to be the most popular these days. The tolerences are second to none and silcon content make for a nice quiet motor.

Some people like to use Wiesco rings with CP pistons they say the Wiesco rings seat faster. Just going on hear-say from a couple of reputable builders.

I myself am using CP's this time and am very pleased compared to SRP's.

Buy Punkinterviews CP pistons. You cant go wrong

I have had experience, either in my own engine or cars I have tuned, with JE, Wiseco, ENDYN, CP, SRP and Ross. All of the pistons withstanded a good amount of abuse.

I run CP pistons in my current engine

I run CP's too. You just have to make sure that GE bored your block to exactly 84.00mm or less. the pistons diameter skirt to skirt is 83.9X so the piston to wall clearance is automatically set if the block is bored to the exact 84.00mm spec. I believe the recommended piston to wall clearance from CP is .0035"
