who cares what times the car runs? if you cant drive the car then it wont run a good time...ive seen people drive cars that should be sub12's but they only ran 13's...does it mean its the car no the driver had no skills...now you tell me how there is no skill involved when you yourself made a comment about choking on the launch?
.......also ......
i hate the tree my r/t is like 3.00 i always wait for someone to stand in the middle and drop their arms like REAL racers do i get confused with whole light changing thing
lets not turn this into an opinonated argument...im sure there are equal amounts of people who favor straight line racing over turns, and vise-versa....

I was basically meaning when launching a 13second car opposed to a 12second one is wheelspin. What I meant is if you have yourself a decent 13second car with good tires your going to beable to launch it just fine and keep the wheelspin in control meaning you don't need much skill. It's plenty different when your launching a car with an extra 100hp then what your use to. It does take skill, just not as much with a slower car, but getting good times autox-ing is considerably harder then getting good drag times. It's pretty much what your use to racing. Maybe straight line racing is easier for me then others
Anyway I won't stray this topic anymore then I have. Streetracing =
R.I.P
it sucks to see people die. street racing gets a bad rep. Any thing import that crashes at a high speed is street racing. Not that it is right, but it isnt the worst thing going on in the srteets at 3 am.

Racers that are on tracks with turns are always trying to take the straightest line through the turn, so as much as they gripe that drag racing is just point and shoot, they are trying to go as straight as possible.
When the race ends at the same place that it starts there is no point, just don't move and your already there.

that poor little CRX, it will be missed.
oh and does *anybody* know the driver? I mean that was the *original* question and so far nobody has answered it.

I met these kids at a CRX Mini Meet roll out a few years back and seen them around since. When I saw their pics I was in tears, this sux.
I don't agree with racing out on farm roads either, I mean yea techincally you might have an occasional truck out there but when you have a car that flips, goes out of control, someone gets hit ... thats one long journey to the hospital or for emergency care to arrive when it could have been right there for you all along by being at the track.
The media will call it racing because that is what draws support.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

it is to drive a 13second car down the quarter
