Default Do coilovers really go bad in about a year on a lowered car?

Why specifically, would a coilover go bad within about a year on a lowered car, or is this another "urban legend" someone was feeding me?

If not true, what price range/brand do you have to hit before
they last longer?-Bob

I might be mistaken. But would not the coilovers be what is lowering your car to begin with. I dont think putting coils on your car at the stock height would make them last any longer than if you lowered the car using them.

just get quality ones and they should last you a good while.

20's no way yoooooooo.

buy omni powers i love mine and they are so well built i dont see them brakin anytime.

Tein's are also a top quality brand.

alot of people use ground control 2.

but the main thing you get what you pay for so buy $100 coilovers there gunna last you $100 worth

spend $1000 on your coilovers they will last you alot longer.

and make sure they are installed right if they arent they will brake and make horrible noises and ride like shit.

damn $1,000, dont spend that much just buy skunk2's, I bought a 1992 hatch like 3years ago and it had the skunkwerks coilovers in it (That is the original name of skunk2 for all of you that don't know) and they have never given me a problem and considering they changed their name like forever ago I can safely say that they have been on my car for like 5yrs at least, and they are around $500 or less. just DO IT.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
