As long as the correct bearings were used and clearances are nice you should have a great all motor set up that you will be more then happy with.I always go get every bearing clearance checked to make sure cause plasti-gauge is not always correct.Just make sure you break it in good and do the 3 oil changes.Break in is a must to seat it all right. The better break in the longer it will last.IMO.Also make sure the oil plug in the head is sealed cause it sucks when you have to pull a head back off over some dumb shit like that.I always screw the plug down inside the head and put some quick steel over it.Good luck with the build !!

Its in a fully gutted crx si.Should be a good 12 sec car if i can hook up..Lsd is a must for these motors.I am pulling the tranny anyday now and we are putting a lsd in it .Dont use that LS tranny..You will lose a good sec off your time and them tranny's can not handle the abuse like a vtec tranny can.
That's a nice set up. I want to know the mods and see if my Set-up will compare. I have time to read. Soo you can take your block past 7200RPM? With my set up would i be able to take it to atleast 8 grand safely? I will be using the Tranny temporarily. I haven't found the right tranny for the right price yet. I just want my project up and running. I think i will be going Type R tranny or maybe a LSD S4 Tranny. But for now i'm stinking with the y80 tranny. When will your car be up and running? i would like to see or maybe race you. It seems like a mean ass car. Well thanks for the info.

Pm'd and yes.i go past 8k every time i drive it.I drive it just like its a b18c.I would not go past 8500 or so But,I had every part balanced and it feels fine at that high of a rpm.I try to stay under 8300 rpms and i set my rev limit at 8400.

Here are some sites.

http://www.importreview.com/reviews/lsvtec.html - Good For parts you would need.

http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/te..._vtech_engine/ - has a little step by step process of building the Motor.

I have a GSR fuel pump. I'll be running 93 octane. I'll fill you in when i get done with the swap though.

yea those hp numbers seem about right...but in my setup with itr pistons and itr valvetrain with buddy club spec III cams it made 215 whp....it all depends on the tune i guess....and PLEASE...go with a lsd s4c tranny...if they dont break on you they truly do make better times....my car seemed noticeably slower when i put the ls tranny back in...but much more driveable
