h series question

Default h series question

im doing a h22, i did the manual tensioner convertion off of the f series and i dont know what timing belt to use... any idea's?

try both belts... keep the one that fits better... when you loosen your tensioner you should be able to put the belt on, and when you tighten your tensioner... your belt should be real snug but not too too tight... so in your case, unless someone else has already done this and knows the answer, buy both belts and use the one that "better" fits it. then return the other belt.

ive already tried a h22 and it was way too short

well then try the other... check and see if it may be a bit longer... how much too short was that belt... make a guess... then take it to discount and have them get a few belts that are just a bit longer that that one, but make sure they have the same teeth on the belts.

you have to use the h22 belt, the teeth numbers are different.

The H22 belt fits fine. you just gtta know the trick to it.

unbolt the tensioner.put the belt on the tensioner. and bolt the tensioner down with the belt on it, the belt will tension itself cause its such a tight fit.

i dont know if they are the same, but i used a h23 manual tensioner.
