how do i figure out what parts these are?
ill most likely do it all this weekend.. drop the oil pan and pull the head. yipee
you really wouldnt have to pull the head, JE pistons have a JE stamping on the bottom u should b able to fit a flashlight from the bottom to see the center of em.
everythign else u can tell from looking at it with the head on.

really? just yank the valve cover.. deff. makes sence. good idea!
i just pulled the valve cover, i cannot tell what brand anything is, i see no markings.. but i did notice that on the side of each valve the side is kind of notched out... like there is a pair of valves, then a little seperating wall, 2 more ect... the wall looks like it was shaved around the valve on all cylinders, and it doesnt look stock either... is this standard with aftermarket valves? would this mean there over sized??
Every honda head i think ive ever seen has some of the casting flash removed. It looks like someone took a cartridge roll and sanded the inner walls of the head at the casting lines? if so i believe its stock...
Are your retainers shiny? My portflow Ti are, not sure if they ALL are though. If their shiny, id say theyre most likely Ti.
Maybe you can mic the lobes to see if theyre bigger than stock? May have to remove the "cam bridge".
Like everyone else said, drop the pan and inspect the rods/pistons..A little bit of work but at least you can rest easy...

yeah i dont mind alittle work.... everything in the head looks shiny. i dont look in heads every day but it looks pretty damn clean to me, i took pics although they probably wont do any good, ill post them later today
yeah im pretty sure it DOESNT have those mods... although i pulled the valve cover again to take a better look at the cams, im not sure if stock ones are usually a darker color metal then skunk2 ones, they look to be a differant type of metal (not the lobes, the parts that are flat). there like a gun metal color
im going to try to host the pics big so to keep as much clarity as possible. also, i notice a little "M" on one of the cams (there is a pic of it) if that means anything
