Default 120k On Motor...

I've been wondering at 120,000 I'm going to get the 120,000 inspection/tune up deal. But just a general question, is there anyway of knowing it the timing belt should be replaced on your car? Or do they just go without you knowing about it? Also, what comes with the 120,000 mile tune-up?

has the timing belt been replaced before? at 120k if it hasnt you better do it. also replace the water pump, crank seal, cam seals and check the tensioner.

Not sure if it has or not, bought it 1,000 miles ago, haven't dogged it a lot, hasn't reached 7k rpms either. So yeah tomorrow I'll take it to see how much that'll cost.

look at the belt, is it cracking at all, or dry rotted? if you are un sure, the safe route would be to change the belt.

yep, once your belt breaks while drivng... it can damge your motor pretty bad, so dont take a chance, my sisters just broke on her accord, and guess what... most her valves got bent cause the rotation of the timing was thrown off.

When I get a car, I change the belt. That way I have a starting point for future changes.
I know what I have.-Bob

Looking in the book to see what else should be done at 120K is not a bad idea also.
