We use Hondata more these days as must cars we build and higher HP, and controls 1000+ injectors perfect. It's your choice, go with what your tuner suggests.

thanks guys for all the input i would like to convert to obd1 but i think it will be a pain in the ass? i have read alot of good things on zdyne, i dont have a tuner but have heard good things about all of you i.e. LHT,Mtber and Modified racing. however how much do you think i am looking at to tune it and get it running correctly? i will buy the ecu and whatever it would need if i decide to go either route. its a toss up on what i would like to do i am currently working and saving each check to put towards this, i would liek to do it right so there is no problem at all. im not looking to put down tons of hp i got the supercharger for a trade so i just want to put it on a run anywhere between 5 and 7lbs of boost so trying to make big numbers on this motor probably wont happen i just want it to run correctly. And again thanks for all the input
also i am going to run 450cc dsm injectors. other than that all i would need is to convert to obd1 or keep the obd0 and get the zdyne? what al needs to be done exactly to get it to run good? and about how much is usually charged to do it? and about how much does it cost to convert to obd1 and get a chipped ecu? is it more or less than the $648 i will be spending on the zdyne ecu shipped to my door? sorry for so many questions i am just trying to get a general idea.
also keep in mind that it is a d16y5 vtec e motor that only runs on 12 valves untill it hits 2500 rpm then actavates vtec e then it runs on 16 valves my question is do you have to have a ecu make a fuel map for when it hits vtec or do you just need to actvate it and let it run without haveing a vtec fuelmap? its obd0 and i will probably have a zdyne ecu with vtec wire i am just wondering if i will need to have a diffrent fuel curve other than stock since it doesnt have a differnt cam profile at high rpm i figured that i could just activate it at 2500 rpm and just have it run off the stock ecu since its vtec e and means that it runs on 2 valves till it activates? i dotn know any helpwould be appreciated
it is normal once vtec kicks in though i have read up on it and it runs on twelve valves till about 2700 and then it runs on 16 like a sohc nonvtec its only for gas milage it still puts out 115 more than the d16a6 stock. so yeah and plus its got very low mileage and stuff. other than that buddy i would but i couldnt pass on the gas milage or anythign. how are you doing.
Hondata, Crome, Zdyne etc.. do not support multi-stage vtec, only single stage.

im doing better, starting my thearpy and what not. is there any way to make it run on 16 valves all the time? im just thinking that would affect the tuning process a little. beside civics already get 30+ miles to the gallon....how much more do ya want?
.........wait till you see what i have up my sleeve for car wise, you are going to shit yourself.
