yea just get another crank

 

I'm in the process of doing that, just hope it's ok...
Do you guys recommend any ways off checking for ridges?

 

So what all do I have to replace with tearing out the crank?
Main bearings? is that all?

 

Mains, and i would do the Front main seal and rear main seal , oil pan gasket and water pump and everything.....i mean since you are there.

 

Oil pan gasket = brand new.
How much of a bitch is it to do the front/rear main seals?
Water pump doesn't leak so I'm not touching it.
My buddy has little money to get this done.
We need to get by spending the least amount possible.
What would be the exceptable amount of work done?
This motor only leaked oil from the oil pan (he put the bolts on to tight :-/ )
Anyone have or know where i can borrow a micrometer from?
