changing f22 heads

Default changing f22 heads

hey i have a 94 accord with a f22b1(vtec) in it and decided to go dohc with my jdm f22b(non vtec).. i was wondering if i need a new distributer for this swap? or can i just use my stock dizzy?

yes, i believe you will need a vtec dizzy. i dotn know what the main difference is but i know when you go to the store to buy one they specifically ask if its non vtec or vtec.

yes my car is already vtec i wana put a non vtec dohc head on to a sohc block and wana know if i can use my stock dizzy or not

You can but it will run real slow. Did the same thing when i did a minime on my buddys A6 block with a Z6 head. Ran a 12 with the A6 dizzy and a 9.7 with the Z6
plus your going from SOHC VTEC to DOHC Non-VTEC
