Exclamation Jumps Between 1-2k Rpms For No Reson PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am going to buy a car today and when the car starts it jumps up and down between 1k and 2k rpms and it does that the entire time the car is on i was told it was a o2 sensor on the back of the intake manifold but i just want some other opinions on what it could be, also the tranny grinds 2nd gear is there any way i can fix this without buying a new tranny i heard syncromesh will help, now i also need a few things if anyone has them for sale: the o2 sensor, the green plug thats in the vtec solenoid, and prices on a ls cable tranny. thanks alot guys any help will be highly appreciated

IACV is not working properly. $425 to fix the tranny($300 for 1-2 sleeve set, $125 labor) you would just have to bring me the tranny.

If it is carbed IMHO it would be a vacume leak.

Im sure you mean IACV (Idle Air Control Valve), take it off and try cleaning it and see if that helps.. If not look around on here for the one you need cause they can be very pricey at auto stores.

so thats the only thing it can be to make it sit and jump like that? its not carbed its fuel injected its a b16 lol so the iavc is the only thing and i should just clean it and if that doesnt work just buy a new one? and will syncromesh help the tranny? thanks guys ttt
