If starter tests Ok, but won't turn in the car, sounds like the wiring
on the way from start switch to starter,....something keeping electricity from getting there.-Bob

then today (monday), i pulled the alternator out and got it tested, and it was fine.

so i bought a new distributor cap and rotor and will try that tomorrow.

any ideas on what the problem is? the engine wont even try and turn over.
please help me out.

my alarm does work; we checked to see if power was running to the starter, and there was; all fuses are fine. i am thinking of replacing the clutch switch first.

i'll keep giving updates.

ok so well i got it to start today by popping the clutch with 2 ppl pushin. the alternator belt is pretty loose, and i need to tighten it. also the alternator sparks where the screw comes out of it for the ground and just does it more as i rev it higher.

so im thinking of gettin the belt tightened, and trying to find a better ground on the alternator housing.

i was also thinking of maybe why the car doesnt start by itself is because of a bad ignition switch? i will probably replace that on saturday.

i was just giving a new update on whats going on.
