Default Iacv

I read somewhere that it is possible to bypass the IACV, I know thats the problem with my car. Cant get to it though tried liquid wrench bolts stuck. It was doing the surging idle until i said screw it throw a code and unplugged the harness for it. ive noticed my car does warm up faster but it doesnt over heat not even on long trips. i also read somewhere that it would be cheaper just to pull a whole manifold. if i do so what would be a good one to bolt up to my b7 or should i just get the same one?

sounds like it isnt the iacv, but actually the warm idle control valve. when you remove your intake, you'll see 2 holes in the throttle body. the one towards the firewall is the iacv, the towards front of car is warm idle control valve. just take some double sided tape of something and kinda clog up the hole.

goodluck

Thanks for the help. Ive got a b7 so the holes are one on top of the other inside the throttle body, and if i cover the bottom hole the idle drops. But its odd i hooked the sensor back up today i think the car was already warm though cause it didnt surge at all... but ill def try what you guys said
