Anybody have any knowledge about XSi setups? I am planning on buying the complete changeover from HMOTORS for my 91 ls, i dont see much difference other than compression, tranny it came with, and ECU used. other than that is there any other differences between this and other B16's. reliablility, tunning, i dunno, maybe downfalls to the setup?

only advantage i can see just from whats in print is 10hp, and 2 lbs. tourqe

also does anyone have first hand knowledge if this is better then say a fresh LS motor. I would hate to go through all of that to get less performance then the stock LS and also the performace potential. I plan on a basic turbo kit on stock internals.

Less torque , better topend ...

Should put out more HP than a bolt on LS but far less torque ..

 

does less 10-15 lbs. tourqe make that much of a difference, i happen to like tourqe but if the increase in hp is better then good deal, any mojor difference between say siR1 b16a and XSi b16a besides compression and the tranny and ecu they come with, and if so which is better, the price is really close with the SiR1 being the cheaper

 

XSi B16 is J1 4.4 FD with LSD usually it depends ..


The tranny is nice and brings the B16's powerband out ...

I'd give up teh torque for the B16's revs

 

i had a 91 ls and swapped it for a b16 ...the b16 in my opinoin is better ..more fun
