i bought a d15b8 motor and i put it in the car i changed the intake from the b7 and put it on the b8 motor and used a b7 intake gasket on the b8 motor and this motor smokes like crazy . did i have to use a b8 gasket on the b8 motor with the b7 intake? please let me know.

intake gasket wouldnt make it smoke. just idle like crap.

sounds like pistons ringlands are bad.

 

Or just bad piston rings....

Or blown headgasket....

Or unproper fuel managment....

What color is the smoke? When does it occur, high rpms, low rpms, constantly, how about under hard acceleration?
