my integra makes this noise and revs high and then back down everytime the car is on.. i think it's the sensor or something but i'm not sure... IT"S ANNOYING! does anyone know how i can get this fix

hmm.. i'm kinda mechanically retarted .. but do you know what i mean.. it sounds like i'm reving the engine continously

 

there is a sensor on the back of your intake manifold. If you wanted there is a screen on that sensor you could just clean it out/check to see if its clogged. Or get a dvom and check it. Depending on how far you want to go.

To me though short and simple sounds like a vaccum or maybe the idle air contol valve.

 

now do you know why it wouldn't be going past 3000rpm?

ive never heard "this noise" before . you should be a little more descriptive .

 

Disconnect main fuse in the underhood fuse box and elt it sit for 30 seconds to get it out fo limp mode.
