Default timing belt on ls/vtec

hey i just had a ls timing belt installed on my ls/vtec....i guess apparently it was the wrong belt because i was told i should have put a gsr timing belt on there...i tried the b16 belt because i have a b16 head and it was way too short...the ls belt seemed to fit right...and some say the gsr belt is too long...i have no idea what water pump is on there...i should probably go with the gsr timing belt? or is something else wrong

Look at your water pump, if it says 22t on the pulley, then run a gsr p72 timing belt.
If your water pump is an 18t then run a ls timing belt.
