Talking What swap to do

ok, I've been thinking about getting a new motor in my Civic DX. Obviously there are many different options, and I've thought and researched them all. Obviously price is an object, but best bang for the buck is important. I have an OBD II 1999 Civic DX. So here are some options with pros and cons. I've also attached a poll for your opinion. Please also give me some feedback. I don't want people just to say type r becuase it's the best motor, I'm looking for affordability/dependability/ease of install. Obviously the more expensive the longer it'll take to get the project done. Thanks for the help in advance!

mini-me swap - y8 head on my block
pros: cheap to build (under $500) tons of interchagable inexpensive parts
con: lack of HP without boost, and anything else you can think of.

LS/VTEC
pros: can piece together a very nice engine for less than GS-r, good torque, great potential.
cons: lack of oil squirters (i know that's no big deal, but it's a con), don't want to hassel modifying the head/block, more time and experience needed to piece together the correct setup.

B16:
pros: less expensive thank GS-R/Type R, plently of interchangeable parts, nice redline, can buy complete
cons: low torque

GS-R
pros: oil squirters, built for vtec, no modification needed, plug and play
cons: more expense than previous examples

Type R
pros: type-r enough said
cons: not many other than the price

good point. I left it off because I don't want to have to get a motor mount kit. Should I put it on.

GSR/Type-R

If you have the dough get B18C5 . If there are any plans of boost in your future get a GSR

Well with what you are looking to get out of it, IMO i would suggest the ls/vtec. If you have the extra money, or maybe even happen to find a good deal on a type-r that would be great. But just for a fun/cheap/realiable daily driver i would suggest ls/vtec.

+1 on the h22...its 1/2 the cost of the b18c5...but if u need the baller status go type R...due to the lack of options that would be my vote

for a fun daily driver that would drop in get the b-16 not the fastest, but good for cost efectiveness and has tons of aftermarket support. if you got the cash get the type R. if you got the time, cash and patience buld a ls\v-tec.
