Default What will happen if my vtec solenoid constanly stays open?

Ok my car is running bad like throughout high rpm's. Like sputtering and stuff like that, ive changed the distributor, wires, and checked the cat. its getting fuel, and spark, and its not throwing any codes.

ive checked EVERYTHING that it could possibly be and nobody on tampa racing seems to know whats wrong. So i was thinking that maybe my vtec solenoid was stuck open, if it was stuck open, how would this make my car run?

if wold have less power down low and the same power up high....basically the opposite of the problem you are having. define high rpms? you mean right when vtec should kick it runs like crap? that prolly means vtec isnt kicking. of you have a clogged screen on yer solinoid or low oil.

Test it 1st, all you have to do with the car OFF, disconnent the single VTEC wire clip from the VTEC solenoid. feed 12V to the VTEC solenoid terminal that goes to the sloenoid inside the gray clip. If it is the soliniod it WILL NOT click on and off when you connect the 12V to it and take it off. If it clicks, start the car, And do the same thing(for a short sec) While the car is running(at idle) connect 12V to the actual single pin input(sloinoid side) again, the car should bog out or run shitty untill you disconnect the 12V feed.(its enguaging VTEC) If this is the case, there is something wrong with either your pressure switch or your wiring(harness)
