Rim size??
I just want to check that these rims should fit my car, I know people have 17's, but I am mainly concerned with the offset. I don't know what the factory offset is, and I can't remember the bolt patern ( I know it's 4lug and I think 100) . also with 17's is any mods to the wheel well needed? I am going to be dropping it with neuspeed sport springs 1.8/1.6 inch drop. I will be using a camber kit. I just don't want to get the wheels and run into an issue with clearance when I install this stuff in my driveway.
The car is a 93 civic dx hatch. the rims are http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...100&vid=006792
if the link isn't working, it's the tsw catalunya in 17x7 4-100 40 offset. the tires will be 205 40 17.
Thanks for the help.

I have the same size wheels and they are TSW's. If you go lower than 2.5 you will have rubbing in the rear with a tire wider than a 215 and higher than a 40. the front has a little more room, but If you wanted to say go extreme like 3" than you cant get a bigger tire than 205/40-17's and those are TIGHT!!(fit that is
) G/L and nice wheels

cool man thanks, so the 40 off set isn't an issue then, I take it. I don't plan on going lower than the 1.8/1.6. I had a 2" on my crx but the camber was so far off that a 3 degree kit wouldn't correct it. I've read that the most you really should go on a honda is 1.5-1.75inches unless its a show car. that gives it a nice height for looks, but still lets it sit high enough for daily driving. For tire width I think the 205's look just about perfect, not too wide for the smaller cars so it looks proportionally nice and tucks into the wheel well without the poke out effect that we all remember from the old days with 10" rims and a 265 tire. plus I am not throwing alot of power into the b16 motor that is going into it, so the 205 will not be too bad on making the motor work harder to go fast.
cause the 16's I have look small ( they cam ewith the crx when I bought it), on my crx the 16's were perfect, but on my hatch they just look a tiny bit too small. I am not going for a race car, or even a high hp daily driver, but I am not going all ghetto either. I want more rim to be seen but imo 18's are too much for a hatch so 17's are right on the money. plus with my choice of rims I don't think it'll look as big given the darker finish of the rim and the "phantom grey pearl" factory paint. Basically I just like the way they look, I know they won't ad like 20 terabytes of hp
and 15's on a this car in a street application just jook weird when it's dropped, on a track car where the extra flex in the sidewall of the tire is a good thing then 15's/14's are no problem.
