blown head gasket... please help!

Yeah when the head is off take it to a machine shop to make sure the head isnt warped.....You wanna replace the gasket and bolts as well...but depending on the milage and if you have extra money replace anything you can that will go wrong down the road such as timing belt, water pump, and shit like that....Good luck

hmmm good point. I didnt even think of that. i didnt import anything lol. the guy who sold it to me said it was a 92, but maybe he ment 93. and if its a 93 that means i have the 94 si engine... baller!

Does it have passenger side airbag? If not, its a 93. That ... or check the VIN: http://teamdelsol.com/technical/techstuff/vin.asp

First thing I would do is pressure test your coolant system and go from there. You said you "ran out of coolant" You must have a leak somewhere. Check you temp gauge and make sure you fan comes on. Start there.

ok i will do all of that. i know for sure that my fan comes on though.

its def a 93. and that would mean its a 94 SI engine. the guy i bought it from had the engine replaced and he said it was 1 year over the original year... so i thought it was a 93 engine, but i guess its a 94. is there anyway to distinguish between the 2
