Default Oh Shit...Crankshaft Pulley!

Ok...now my crankshaft pulley is messed up...I heard a noise comming from my pulley and sure enough it was wobbling around so I shut my car off and tightened it. Started her back up still had the noise. I pulled the pulley off my car and the thread on the inside of the pulley were worn off pretty bad. My question is "Is my Crankshaft ok?" I know my pulley needs replacing. My car is a 99 Ls so what yr. pulleys can I use that will match up. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The threads themselves are in the crank, so if those are fucked, sadly, your crank is prolly fucked too....

no man...not where the bolt is. the pulley has indentions and a slot for the little key that locks it into place. all the little indentions are worn.

I had the same issue. I put it back on and it rattled off again at a later date. The second time it stripped the keyway off of the crank... Here's the lesson I learned. Replace the crank pulley bolt, and replace the pulley itself.

If you don't, you're asking for it. The bolt was ~$9 at the dealer.

you can use any 94+ integra pully...as well as a b16 pully.....only thing you have to check is to make sure the belt grooves are the same. other than that any b-series crank pully will fit.

Tight Fellas....just picked up the pulley and bolt thanks to a fellow TR member so all I need is the Key-way from Acura (think its $1.99). So you think the crank itself is ok?

as long as the bolt threads in properly and the place around they key isnt fucked than its alright. get some threadlock....honda uses it so you should too.

you might be able to use the ls ones....what year b16? if its a 92+ than just use yer ls belts and if they are too long than get some 2000 civic si belts. or just go to the parts store and get a few differant sizes and just return the ones that dont work.
