As far as i know it doesnt lower your compression. It didnt on mine. I always used stock headgaskets untill i went 84.5mm. Either will work fine. Cometic makes an extreme duty gasket. It think it is thicker and that is what i use.

my lawnmower has 10psi on it.
What is he is trying to say is his friend is using a .120 cometic mls headgasket to lower his 11.2:1 c/r to the 9.0:1 range. The reason for this is to make his motor less pron to detonation on pump gas with a turbo application.

i know, i was just kidding.

my stock compression is 9.2:1, so i dont need a thicker headgasket, i just heard that cometic hg's somehow lasted longer/and were more reliable in boosted situations.
