Knocking noise comming from tranny?

Default Knocking noise comming from tranny?

well today i started to notcie a little knocking sound when the motor is first started it maked a little knocking noise sound comes from tranny and when i press the clutch in the small knocking noise go's away when i release clutch u barely hear it again what could this be?

It almost sounds like a pressure plate coming loose and starting to hit the bellhousing...(hope not)
Are you sure its coming from the tranny and not the engine? I hope it has nothing to do with the thrust bearings in the block since your relieving them when you depress the clutch.
Id check the tranny fluid level first @ the fill plug then drain it and look for shavings or glitter. Then id do the same to the engine. A magnetic drain plug can reveal some info too...

thnkz guys im mostly thinking its the pressure plate coming loose.

You can take off the starter and retighten the P.P. bolts with a swivel socket. I think its like 19 ft/lbs. A little bit of medium strength loctite may be good insurance too!

good tip. Also I'd look into possibly the main shaft or countershaft bearing. When the clutch is pressed in these are relieved so the sound goes away. I've never seen crank thrust bearings go bad in a Honda.
