Default block/main girdle or no?

so i have decided to get the parts to build my motor, but now i have another dilemma...
this is going to be a daily driven ls with rods, pistons with crower springs/retainers(getting cams when i go turbo) and either hondata or a chipped p28 from mr. mtber. for now im just going to bump the rev limit to 7.5k as the stock cams suck over that rpm, but once i get the turbo and add cams, it will see 7.5-8.5k at the track. should i add a block girdle?
honda-tech seems to be split 50/50 on this in every thread i have seen. some people say that have run an ls bottom end with no girdle to 9k with no problems, others say they wouldnt run over 7.5 without one.
i know someone that had a built ls(crower rods, je pistons, stock block) with a girdle and it was run to 8.5-9k and never had any problems, but i dont know anyone personally that has had a built ls without a girdle running that high for comparison.
thanks in advance!

not needed. the whole ls not meant to rev that high is mostly when doing ls/vtec, then its a good idea to get rods/pistons and shit.(which you said you'd have anyway)

I think if thre not needed Honda could have saved alot of $$$ on 94-01 GSRs reving to 8200.
I would run one for sure, it helps stablize the crank shaft and helps even bearing wear.

sweet. thanks for the input guys. i think im going to leave it off this block. im going to eventually build a sleeved 2.0l block and i might add one at that point. it just seems like a lot of money to get one installed and im way late on getting this turbo setup going. the money will be spent on a fuel rail, fpr and injectors.

((not needed. the whole ls not meant to rev that high is mostly when doing ls/vtec, then its a good idea to get rods/pistons and shit.(which you said you'd have anyway)))))
as for that the not reving a ls that high is not do to haveing a lsvtec,it is do to the ls crank is not as balanced as vtec/and is heavier, and couple more reasons.

and if you do go with one THESE are great i used 3 so far and damn well made i love Az http://azracemachine.com/products/Bl...GirdleMenu.htm

so you think a stock ls crank can't rev high? if so, you're very funny.
