*By the way your post isnt very helpfull, you only share the cons of the vehicle

To the guy who made this thread, keep in mind- the S2000 runs with the Porsche Boxster and BMW Z4 3.0i for thousands less.
you really should watch the names you throw out to people youve never even met, you come off as a troller when you make rude comments to people who didnt ask your opinion. he clearly stated he wanted to talk to s2k owners, not some kid who knows a guy who knows a guy who let him ride shotgun in his s2k to the gas station. ive been in the scene for awhile and you throw off the vibe of being one of those people that claims to hang ou with big dawgs and the moment you turn your back theyre talking about how much of a lame ass you are. to anyone interested in purchasing an s2k my post is very helpful. its much more important to know what you're up against when buying something like an s2k then what your pleasures are. i only heard good things about the car and definately loved it during the 5 minute test drive. then AFTER i purchased it and got to know the car better i realized it wasnt for me. most s2k owners i meet in person agree with all my issues with the car (some decide not to let it sway them as much, but they dont deny the issues i stated). i would have saved A LOT of money if someone had been honest with me when i did my research and posted on s2ki for opinions etc, and stated the full face of the car instead of just the bright side. im stating what most others dont have the nerve to (because people like you will respond with rude comments) so that anyone thinking of buying one will take the definite negatives of the car into account before buying. think of it this way, a potential s2k buyer might jump into this post and see what i typed and make a closer look at any s2k he might be considering getting, and then say "damn, that cat is right, this car is kinda..." and end up buying something he would end up being happier with. im here to help, not worship everything and memorize trivial facts while upping my post count, ive got a social life and ive only lived in tampa for 8 months, sorry if i dont have time to post.

its a work in progress. i was in love with the car when i purchased it because i had been hyped up on the positives of the car. i ignored the negatives that only the magazine editors at automobile mag and other mags were stating because they were comparing to cars out of the league. all of my previous projects were purchased used, so they had problems and issues, etc. i wanted an s2k since 2000 when it came out, and I wanted "my baby" to be just that, MY baby. So I made the decision to buy it brand new (and eat the new car depreciation that you get when you buy a new car) from Honda as the sole owner and during my ownership ive kept tedious records of EVERYTHING the car has experienced (like a babys first step book of sorts). i even took a picture of my baby when it hit 1000 miles. I was on the way home from orlando to tampa and saw the number coming close so i watched it and pulled to the side of the road on I75 to get a pic of the gauge cluster. I guess what I'm getting at is that I put a HUGE investment into this car when I bought it brand new (instead of getting an older one or a used 04 or something like alot of guys do, which would have saved me close to 10k) and when I sell it I will eat ALOT of money. I've chosen to live with the car for a few more months until I've paid down enough of the loan to sell it (Right now I still owe more than its worth) outright and go get something else. Right now saving for a house dp is first priority, so the s2k has to get payments and be put on the backburner.

PS - thanks for the comment about groceries and dropping kids off. its a reasonable negative about the car but im glad to see you could destroy the maturity of your entire post by adding that in with a stupid little smilie at the end. I have to buy groceries since I don't live with my parents (im going to assume you do still, since your profile says youve got only the s2k and no second car and you dont seem to agree with my complaint about the trunk. that or your just buying spaghettios and ramen noodles) and I'm forced to do responsible things. Thanks for getting at the big ol' mean responsible guy who has to use his car for real life demands. whats next from this guy? will he complain about having to pull it into a driveway? THIS IS A TRAVESTY! I guess you felt the need to retaliate since I was insulting your car that youve piled thousands of dollars in mods into. Next time just accept the fact that not everyone will agree with you, and that this IS an internet forum, so not everything said is going to be 100% cheery skippydoodle positive toward your point of view.

Well, I just turned 22, and no, I do not live with mom and dad... haven't in 2 years. I got a damn good job and I work hard for everything I got. I never once had anything handed to me on a silver platter. I understand your comments. I did say that it was good that you pointed out the negetives (and did that VERY well), but you did not say one positive thing about your car, not even the paint. This is the internet. This is a fourm... everyone has there own opinions... and you had your own. I am not hating on you at all. I was just stating if you strongly dislike your S2000 that much, then get that Supra. Hell, I would have jumped all over a MK IV Supra before the S anyday. If my comment rubbed you the wrong way, Im sorry, like you said, this is the internet.

There is something called a "Test Drive" that you do before you sign on the dotted line. If you thought this was a race car you should have paid 10 fold of what you did. Now I have plenty of S2K customers putting down some good numbers. The car is fun, no doubt expensive, but its Honda's engineering at its finest! With some mods to the suspension and brakes it hangs with the NSX. With engine mods it will blow away the Corvette or most cars on the road. I just adjusted valves on a 427hp methanol injected S2K on Saturday. That car has gobs of power and hits 9K is a split second. Full throttle can't happen until 50 mph. You need to be smart when driving a car with that type of power or it will get away from you. If you look back at what Honda produces you will see a company that believes in transfering ALL the power to the wheels in any condition. That is the Japanese term called TUNING. Us Americans believe it is hooking a laptop to the ECU and adjusting the motor. My car can go through turns at WOT where most cars are hard on the brakes. The S2K is like a go-kart on steriods, especially at 9K RPMs.

I agree somethings need to be addressed, but all-in-all it is a very well built car.
