well the fans stopped working completely now ( the one on tranny side ). and the water in the radiator is not that hot i can catch it with my hands when i open the radiator cap while the car is running and hot. well, my question here is: can the headgasket or water pump make the water vapor leak thru the water reservoir?

If you're not sure if you did it "right" prolly didn't 'FLUSH' the radiator, prolly just emptied it and refilled it.

I'd get your fans in working order and jumper the main radiator fan to make sure its always on when you turn on your ignition. (that saved my arse a ton of times with over heating)

Your issue sounds like one i used to have in my old 93 civic, sitting at a light, heat temp would raise, but once moving would be aok. My tempature fan switch kept faulting and would not make the connection to turn on the fan. so i said flip it, and jumpered the fan to be always on when the car was on. Solved that heating problem.

What the year / model of your vehicle? Might be time to look into replacing the radiator / hoses as well.

Yea i agree with what djgizmo said. Wire up your fan to run when ever you have the ignition switch to the "On" position. Find a wire that is only moving power when the ke y is on "ignition hot" and wire up your fan to that.

Man its easy. Go to Advance auto parts ask for a Contunity Tester http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...rtnumber=85598

That will work, push the needle part onto the wire and put the other end on a ground. If it lights up "WITH" the key on but doesn't "WITHOUT" the key on then splice those wires together.

If you feel that you still cant do this yourself shoot me up with a pm and we can talk.
