Default Oil pressure problem

I have a 1995 accord. The car has oil and the oil light has been blinking and i dont know why. I dont know a hell of a lot about cars. I just know its been blinking a lot but it doesnt blink when the car is over 2500 rpm. Does anyone one know what this could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

low oil pressure could be caused by many things...Bad oil pump, loose clearances, bent or damaged oil pickup tube.
Do not keep driving that thing or a new engine is in your future. Did you run over something recently? Did anything happen that may cause this to happen or did it come out of nowhere?
Mileage on car?

change your oil/oil filter

oil light on=BAD news for your engine.

When you open the oil cap, does a lot of smoke come out?

Open your oild cap and look inside, with the car turned on, do you see oil running around the cam, or jumping outside. If yes, more than likely everything is fine. Your oil pressure sensor could be bad. It hapenned to me, I started freaking out about it, I was about to buy a whole new engine, because I'm paranoid like that. It was just the oil pressure switch and only $6.99. If you can't see oil, you have to look deeper into it.

Good Luck
