well said
well, i planned on going B20/vtec, stock block,stock b16head, with a 125 shot.
when that blows, hopefully ill already be finished with my ls/vtec build.
and since i can use the same axles,im shaft, head, and all that other good stuff, the b20 is basically just to make it a fun weekend car for now, til i get the build finished. i WOULD wait til im done, but im sad seeing the car on the side of the house without an engine.
btw, its no longer going into an EK, its going into an EE wagovan.

why spend that money and then blow that motor if going ls\vtec do it and do it right the first time. also you may not be that lucky you can seriously damage the head and block if you blow your motor on a spray. i seen this guy spray (at least thats what he said and i wouldn't doubt it) a accord motor 90-93 and blew his motor. one of his chambers of the head was mangled and a valve head broke off and stuck upright in the piston for that chamber. so be careful in what you plan to do. but if you got it like that to spend (cause i do not) hey what the hell it just money......right?
ok, then i wont do vtec head.
ill do straight b20 on spray. just to get me 'around' ya know?
and in the time being, ill collect all the pieces for the build, and have cms do it all at once.

HA.
I have ownd 4 b20's and have never had one fail. And to my understanding , i don't know a single b20 owner that has cracked a sleeve.
Fyi my car has been on a "hefty" shot for a while.....as long as it doesnt detonate it is good to go.....But then again , you should know that.

That is what i told him.....i would jsut buy a LS bottom end with a spun rod bearing, sleeve it to 84mm ...and there ya go , a b20

you figure a b20 short block goes for $400-500 depending . A ls short block ( to me ) goes for about 50-100 depending on the shape of it. and if the motor is going to get sleeved anyways , then why not? right?
