Brakes question:
getting new pads and rotors for the front only, the question is would i be better of wit OE rotors and pads from acura(60 each for rotors,50 for pads) or aftermarket from discount or somethin.(20 each for rotors, 20 for pads) money is not an issue, but are after markets so much diffrent than some id get from the dealer? does it matter? dont want to spend unecissary money but dont want to get cheap parts.
just looking for basic brakes, not cross drilled slotted etc...just regular rotors. with non metalic pads, organic ,or ceramic.

id just do the cheap shit unless your into racing and stuff... if its any more then your daily driver then id put the OE stuff on
I would go with the rotors from a parts store the 20 dollar ones if your not going to go with any cross drilled etc. there is going to be no diff. but i would recomend getting a decent set of pads most pads that places like discount sell eat up your rotors.

i would get some good pads, oem or the best they sell at the parts store which is usually the bendix import quiet pads. then just get the cheap rotors from the parts store. with my experience, as long as you have good pads, thats the most important i've found, you should be good.

OE rotors from the dealer or any parts store, whichever is cheaper.
as for pads, u dont want to go too cheap...i've used AEM and Hawk HPS brake pads and they work really well for a daily street driven car versus the OE pads, they last longer and produce less brake dust..the price isnt too high either.

just finshed the brake job not too long ago, went with OE pads $50, and got a hook up from a friend at autozone, both rotors, case of oil,oil plug and a coke for $15.
brakes work great, snaped a caliper bolt though
(tq wrench was garbage."snap-on") but had a spare caliper bolt so its all good. thanks for the input guys.
