i cannot see the pix but i'll still ask why the F22A1 and H23A1 combo? I haven't heard of it before and would be interested in hearing the benefits of combining the F22 block and H23 head.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Its been done. i know of about 4 people that have done this and various configurations like this. the benefit? for one its a cheap hybrid build, 2 you'd be getting a better flowing dohc head, 3 the f22 bottom end has iron sleeves as opposed to the nickel sleeves of the h23/h22 so you can boost the hell out of it and not really be out a whole lot if something happens because f22 blocks are a dime a dozen.

What are you doing about the combustion chamber being larger than the bore?

the difference is not that great. the block is bored to 86mm the head is 87mm and im using a f23 head gasket. the guy who unofficailly is the originator of this type of hybrid put a stock h22 head on a stock f22b2 bottom end and has been running strong for about 8k miles boosted 8-10 psi.
so your gonna get it finished?...lol..git'r dun!!..comon dont be shy, post up the pistons installed!..looks good though!

werd , it's a g22 w00t.
But a question...why not go with a f23 bottom end?

thats been done too but i didnt have a f23 bottom end which would have been nice because the f23 stock bore is 86mm so i could have safely bored it to 87mm and it has a 97mm stroke!
