Default questions on mini me swap

hey i was talking to my cousin and he was telling me that putting a d16z6 head on a d15 would not be compatible because the d15 is a 1.5 and the d16 is a 1.6. anyone have details on the swap? a website that outlines everything in more detail. anyone here do this swap any problems issues that should be worked out in the early?

ok, tell your cousin he doesnt need to touch a honda anytime soon lol. that z6 head will bolt up PERFECTLY to that d15 block. just make sure you take out the oil jet between the # 2 and #3 cylenders before you put the head on. and use a z6 headgasket too.

all the D-series,SOHC heads are interchangable with each other....D15 or 16 doesnt matter...non-v-tec block+v-tec head equals higher compression better for n/a or N20

while a v-tec block with a non v-tec head lowers the compression makin it better for boost...

you can use any SOHC head gasket but the Z6(92-95ex/SI) head gasket is the better one to use...

If you are using the vtec head on a 1.5 block, I believe the correct timing belt is
from the 92-95 Civic 3DR VX model.

actually you have to get a z6 timing belt as well. 92-95 civic ex. for the 1.5 block. the vx is longer than the z6 for some reason.

Hey, ok I've been looking all over but I'm still a little confused. I have an 88 Civic DX Hatchback with a 1.5l D15 (Carbed). Is it still possible to use the D16 Multipoint injection intake when I do the mini me swap? Will all the hoses from the D15 intake manifold still connect to the D16 manifold since it won't be single injection carb. anymore? If you know can you post or email me at xVilleValox@yahoo.com .... Thanks, Cody
