Default Fan wont turn off

Alrighty, so my sister comes home tonight and tells me it sounds like my car is running or something, im confused cause i hadnt driven the car in about 4-5 hours. so i go outside and my damn fan is running and i cant get it to turn off. so i just unplugged it for the time being. Any idea why its not turning off? and how the hell i can fix this? thanks.

Dont think it turns off at all, i drove to work with it unplugged hoping maybe it would be fine when i got out but i plugged it back in and it instantly turned back on. and no mods recently, only thing i can think of is maybe i shorted something out while driving around in the rain last night cause i did go through a big ass puddle. and yeah im stumped also haha

Plugging it in after driving, the engine may still be warm enough to
kick off the fan.

Is the relay stuck? If you move the relay manually,
will the fan shut off?-Bob

Yeah if the car is hot, the fan will turn out by itself, or it's supposed to. Do the test the other way around. Park the car for a few hours, then plug it in. If it turns on right away, the relay might be messed up. If you don't care for a new one, just wire it to the starter signal, it will turn on when the car is turned on, but shutoff when the car is off.

I just now went out side and plugged in the fan and its barely even moving now and it was making a weird noise also that sounded like it was coming from the relay. So i checked the relay and its got a bunch of weird stuff on the wires, like goo or sludge or something.unlplugged the relay and theres a little bit more of the stuff. So im just gonna go try to buy a new fan relay tomorrow from acura and hope it fixes it. Guess i did get some water in it from the other night, unless that wierd stuff is supposed to be there

That goo stuff is supposed to be there. Don't know the purpose, but it could be to eliminate moisture in the electrical connections. Try the new relay I guess.
