i have a mini me set up with a d16y8 head and a vafc, i have a singal wire coming out of the vtec solenoid that i have hooked up to the vafc. i dout vtec is working due to the fact that i cant hear it but what i was wondering was that there is a connector plug on the vtec solenoid, do i need that connector plug? and also is there anyway i can test the vtec to make sure its working?

if anyone has went through this before let me know
