Default H22a into an EK

I've been considering putting an h22 into my hatch, but I have to maintain a/c! How hard is it to keep a/c? Do you have to fabricate new lines, new bracket, etc? I know that there are people in Tampa w/ an h22 swapped ek - please let me know the difficulty/ cost of this swap - thanks

no, you do need mounts.. axles.. (the ones that come with a prelude swap will not work.. I just researched this and there seem to be quite a few possible combinations for the swap along with just ordering from a company who makes axles for that swap).. and there is quite a bit of fabrication to the mount brackets required for it to go.. as far as keeping the A/C~ you can, but it requires some fab. too but I'd research that myself first if I were you... like I said I just looked into all this now~

yep.....get the mount from hasport for the d series a/c compressor and theres no fab work involved, everything is a bolt up affair. just use some slim line fans on the radiator(dual core) and condenser and you wont have a prob

there are also 2 ways to go about the h swap
-get an h2b adapter kit.....run a b series tranny mounts shift linkage
-or get some mounts and run the h tranny but cut 2holes in your car and shifter cables

they both cost the same around 3500 if you do it right...but i'd highly recommend the adapter plate because its such a better setup(cv angles, tranny ratios, ease of switching from h-b longblocks, much faster) and it goes on...but you decide

man your a n00b..

Its a simple call to hasport, Just a mount kit. If you have power steering you gotta chop a notch in your support, You need to chop a mount in half. Or you can get the conversion plate to use your B series Tranny if you have one and you dont need to cut anything. The Biggest issue is wiring. Install is easy.

yes there is a adapter to use your B series trannies on H series Block's Better gearing, easier swap, no cutting of mounts and sets the motor even in the car.U also use B series axles etc etc plus it stays hydrolic no cutting to mount shifter cables etc.
