Ive recently been seeing a shitload of cars(including my own) stolen or attempting to be. The only thing that saved mine from being stolen was a kill switch that could not be found, i now have a top of the line alarm but the kill switch will always be in there as back up along with other tricks of the trade.

But anyway i was curious if there was a demand for someone to install kill switches for guys that dont have the knowledge or just dont feel comfortable with the install process.

I would not be doing this for pure profit, I just feel for the people that have had there car stolen and do not want to see anyone elses hard work go down the drain. some people cannot afford a really good alarm and this would be a great alternative that could possible save someone a HUGE headache. i never thought anyone would touch my car as i live in a very nice neighborhood, way in that back too, BUT IT DOES! doesnt matter where u live.

Id be willing to do this at a very fair cost and the switch would obviously be customizable in both switch type and location.

Im asking you guys if there is a demand for this and if there is how much u think such an install should cost with parts and labor of course. ANY feedback would be much appreciated. thanks

 

there are sooooo many wires that you can put a switch into, that will cause the car to not run. this is the best way to save your car.

 

i will put a switch in soon, but with my ecu just lying there i find it easier to bring it inside the house. plus my alarm has a kill swith feature.

the ecu thing is about the best way to keep it from starting, your alarm however is a different story if what you are refering to is the relay that the alarm controls. I have only heard of one alarm system that does not work like all the rest when it comes to the starter disable( relay connected to the ground when armed output). Every other alarm out there, just disconnect power from the alarm and the kill switch/relay no longer functions. the relay is wired in the normally closed position, when the alarm arms it activates the relay by showing it a ground, so if you pull power the relay will deactivate and go back to the closed position.

the alarm kill is a good idea because it takes no additional effort, however the best kill switch is totally independant of the alarm system and hooked into some odd wire that while required is way beyond the common theifs comprehension.

 

i have an alarm with a kill switch, plus my homemade one which disables the fuel pump ,my dogs that alert me,an easton baseball bat and a nice (fill in the blank). just in case the crook gets testy and needs a nice sized speed hole in his body

 

Just unplug ECU at night

 

thats a good thing to keep saying..b/c now car thiefs are going to start bringing a bag of ecu's with them....

 

lol.. they wouldnt get far, unless they had a tuned ecu

 

the ecu thing is a waste unless you have a shitty car,Just run 2 kills one with a toggle i put mine welded a bracket up near the clutch i turn it off and on with my foot((less suspiose))useing the clutchswitch the other was a cutoff from the fuelsupply that why if thay do try and start it,you will have time to run outside as thay just keep cranking it and cranking it cause it will not tun over
