Well, For all of you that have seen thier commercials on Bay News 9 and other local channels.....

I'm boycotting Morisions Automotive and exhaust specialists...352-597-1010 which is the Blue building w/ white lettering located near the Tire Kindom on Highway 50 in Spring Hill.

I chose them because they are New, and they have the best of the best equipment and techs in the area (so their Commercial says), and they also claim to be the best priced exhaust modders around.

Well, All I needed was a simple 1/4 inch cutting off of a stainless downpipe and a welding of an exhaust tip...Stuff I can't do myself at home.

I called Saturday around 11:30am to get a price and time to bring the car in, they said I needed to come down to let them see what they are dealing with.
I explained everything I needed done but they still couldn't give me a price.
I called earlier today to make sure 3:30pm was ok to come up there and get this stuff fixed, They said Absolutely!

I brought the car down to them at 3:30 like agreed and that's where all hell broke loose.
First I saw 6 employees standing around not doing a god dammed thing but BSing and 4 out of 4 bays completely empty.

1st) They didn't know how to get a lowered car up on their lift ( only lowered 1" from factory with H&R springs), I tried helping them and they told me to stay out of the mechanics area.

2nd) I suggested they put two 2x4 timbers under the wheels and ramps so the car will clear, and the guy sarcastically says..." we're a mechanics shop, Not a lumber yard!"
I asked if and how they get corvetts on lifts and they said " we have no problem, They aren't as low as your car."
I have to disagree, My car is higher then a stock ' 03 Corvette, I have a friend that owns one and have measured the front valances.

3rd) Once they put the car up on the lift, The 4 mechanics said they didn't have enough time nor had the right saw to cut stainless steel.
So, What kind of exhaust shop are you if you can't cut exhaust pipes?

4th) After all of this BS, The manager ( Biggest dick head) says bring it back early on Saturday and I'll have all the right equipment.
I then asked, since you all have seen the work needed to be done, Can you finally give me a price?
They beat around the bush and said when their welding tech is in on Saturday, He'll give me a price.
I said...OK, Well will it be around $20, $40, $80, $100+, $1000+ ?
One of The Mechanics said sarcastically to me......" The manager said there will be a price given to you on Saturday!

How does a shop run like this????????

So the whole reason for this post is the following.......1) TO VENT How Pissed Off I am, And 2) to Boycott this shop and everything they stand for..

Has anyone else had problems with this Franchise/Chain before?

I called Kris and within 10 minutes I had an exact time, place, and very reasonable price to get this small amount of exhaust work done.
I have to spend $6 in gas to get there, But It's Damn Well Worth It.

Update to my Problem Sept. 17th '05 I just got back from Rods Muffler Shop (located on Hwy 50 near Cici's Pizza in Spring Hill) and the job is finally DONE!....
In and Out in 1 hour and $50 cash corrected all of my 3 problems.
Rod and his partner are stand up guys....They even stayed open an extra hour to get my exhaust work done (They close at Noon on Saturday), What other shop would do that? Very Few!!!!
I can't say enough good things about their work, Prices, and time.

I had full intentions to take the car to CMS, But it's been very hard to make it down to Tampa/Lutz lately, This is one of those exceptions where I needed the work done right, cheap, and most of all close to Home.

The funniest part of the whole story is, Rod just got done doing the Manager of Morisons (Brooksville) Auto's own personal Truck.
Seems the Manager doesn't even want his own employees working on his vehicles.
That just shows there's nothing but Fumble Fucks working for Morisons Automotive.

Good choice with CMS. Sorry about the luck with the other shop. Most shops suck in spring hill.

Yes this is true....I </3 TOPLINE ON 50...the screwed me pretty bad untop of fucking with my starter and my dizzy..

Yep, I've heard not so good things about them too.

The only shop I can vouch positive for in Spring Hill/Brooksville is Advanced Auto which is the Blue w/ yellow building on Hwy. 50 just East of Wiscon and across the New TDO Bike dealer.
Unfortinatly they don't do exhaust work there, That's the only reason I chose Morisons first.
I forgot to menton Ice Cold Air also gave me the cold sholder.
They can't fix my problem till next Monday after 2pm, And even they couldn't give me an estimated price.

Me working at autozone, the only place i would bring my car to is georges wholesale tire. they buy the best parts and do the best work.

Jeff you also forgot to mention they scratched your bumper and side skirts at no extra cost!!!

I'd own a shop if they scratched my car......hmmm, maybe I'll take the teg up there and have a Spring Hill division of CMS
