b17 turbo

Default b17 turbo

is this a good idea...has anyone done this....what were your results...was gonna bolt a turbo kit on a stock motor with only 5 to 7 pounds daily.....opnions are appreaciated

that motor should have not problem with that little boost. just check to make sure you have a "healthy" motor. good compression not blowing any type of smoke.

its n/a right now but i have skunk2 cam gears and a b&m fpr

other then the turbo kit is there anything else i should get for that lil of boost

not really looking to crack the motor open yet (will on next rebuild but if its not broken dont fix it ya know)

umm I would say get some dsm 450cc injectors that way you have some room to move around. and tuning

Im mainly a sinle cam kinda guy, hence my H22, But the comp. ratio vs. volume per per cc is profound, From My personal experience no more than 5-7 lbs. And I stand to be corrected But i stand true. I cranked a 11-12 lbs ond poped it.

Your setup probably failed because of improper fuel management & tuning.

I understand you are voicing your opinion.... But a stock motor can handle more then 7 psi on most avg sized turbos. All it takes is proper fuel management & tuning.
