I am running the walbro 255HP, The meth kit is the CoolingMist, single stage kit. I am running a 50/50 mix of Water/Alcho, Im confused about the next question?? Protection against high boost?? you mean something like boost spike?? I am running Crome Pro and it has a adjustable boost limit setting, Ihave it set on hte street at 22PSI and at the track 27PSI. If thats what you ment, Im not sure, The manifold is the same as the SS, we just basicly hacked one up and rewelded it all together and fixed a few flaws.. We figured that it flowed well enough but needed some work to be any good..

Yeah... I should have worded that better. I´m sitting at internet cafe´s wasting time in Spain, so I just touped (typed) away.

The question is:
What happens if your at 24lbs and run out of meth? Are there any controls in place to save the motor? I´ve seen/heard of too many motors blowing up because they run out of meth lately.

Any reason why you are running 50/50? I assume, simpply because it´s what was recommended in the kit?

Well, Anytime I go out for a run/drive I always check my levels and make sure it is full-up,(a bottle usually last about 10 full passes) I also have a level indicator/guage that tells me how much I have left and a anti-clog warning light that would buzz and light up if the kit stopped flowing. Even if the kit ran out its not a %100 chance that the motor will pop, I have all the need guages, to tell me what the motor is running like. The kit brought my EGT temps down from 1200 to around 1075-1100, i watch my EGT and my Wideband with EVERY run I make, when I am running on the high boost settings, most of the time I run around on 16-18psi and on cool nights or at the track I turn it up to 23+. remember I also run around on at least 100oct fuel and the other times I run on 110, so the kit add a little satfy curve that is there just in case, The motor never had detonation issues B4 I installed the kit, I just put it on to make sure that the GOBS of money that I dumped into this build would be around for some time.... And I havn't tuned with the Meth kit, only on Fuel alone, so when it does spray it is richening up the already semi-rich A/F... but not so rich to were it washes down the cylinder walls..

Oh BTW, I use a 50/50 mix because Alch is flammable and does increase HP(very little) but adding water to the mix dilutes the Alch and lets it do its job much better(cooling temps) Some run 100% water, some 100% Meth and some run 100% alch, but both the Meth and Alch burn like fuel(its not bad but the point of the kit is to cool and the burn creats a rich mitxure, so if you dont tune it right, running 100% of either will make you run rich) at least this is what I have read to believe so far. The water when shoved into the engine turns into steam, steam can absorb massive amounts of heat energy compared to meth/alch and therefor dispersing heat better, and at the same time steam cleaning the valves and combustion chamber removing carbon that would eventually create the possibility of detonation. In most cases were Detonation is a problem the 50/50 mix or ever 100% water would work best. Some even use Ice in the Mix to cool even more(cooler air has more Oxygen, The more Oxygen the more power, Duh....
