i swapped my first car..b18b1 in to a 95 civic coupe , crower cams , nittos , clutch etc... Got my ass handed to me by a hf crx with a single cam....it was gay.


do like i do , and build a throw away motor..ie: a 1.5 or something ....if you blow it up....jstu go get a new one for 50$

IMO, you'd be the happiest with a d15b. It will require the least amount of work and will retain a reliability factor superior to that of a frankenstein. Everything after that is just that, but you'd be good to go from the swap alone for a while I would imagine (just getting used to the stepped up traction). Now you can add spray, or a turbo or go all motor. Just make sure you buy some rods first.

This is just my opinion, but I'd be happier with 200hp meeting the ground good than 250hp and a one wheel peel.

Anyways, i would get a y8, build it for low compression, then slap on a turbo.
Personally, i went b series cause in the future i expect to see power numbers in the 300+ range..

Just like cronic said, its all about what you want.

Are you serious. You would only be the third person I've ever heard they would build a y5 head. Me being #2... the some guy that spec'd all the D heads and flow benched them all. Maybe you meant y5?

y5,y8,y7 all have the same bottom end.
