so i swapped my d16z6 motor into my 94 dx hatch. runs fine but i got a problem. the guy who i paid to do it didnt hook vtec up. i have the p28 for it. he said he would have to make me a harness for my o2 sensor bcuz this d16 is a 1 wire and the stock motor was 4. so here are my questions.

1. is it tru about the o2 sensor needing a harness?
2. what about wireing up vtec?

i paid the guy 450 to swap it for me and i still dont have vtec. what the fuck? he told me he would wire everything up for an additional $50. is this guy trying to fuck me over or what? lmk please. and only reply if you know for a fact what your talking about. thanx

that is a lot for that swap, in my opinion, especially if he starts asking for more money, when he should have done it right the first time.

 

i know how to hook the vtec to the ecu ...and about the o2 sensor just get one for a 92-95 civic and hook it up....that sensor u have now might be a oldschool sensor obd0

 

$500 for a swap and wiring is very fair. that is, if the swap/wiring loooks clean. if it was done ghetto $500 is a bit much.

 

vtec is a sinch too hook up easily done in less than 30mins on a single cam. and as far as the o2 there should be a plug down there for a o2 if its a 4 wire plug get a 4wire o2 if its a 1 wire o2 get a one wire o2

I dont know, but I see that Civic all the time. I think both cars aren;t very appealing! But I'd love to run the Stang cause I dont think the Civic has a chance.

As for the question at hand, if someone quoted you a price for a complete swap then wants more later with out telling you first they are fucking you.
