an ls tranny would be really nice because of the longer gears your turbo would stay in boost longer rather then keep on having to shift. You will top out that car to quick in the quarter mile. I think an LS would do you nicely. You can probably find someone to do a straight trade.

but in my eyes wouldnt you have to worry about topping out before you reach the end of the track with a b16 tranny. You top end will definatly suffer.

A b16a tranny in 5th at 8200rpms is about 150mph, so a LS has a 7k rev limit. that would be about 130-140, do you really think he'll EVER be trapping 130+.

Yeah the gears are short but just as he said they are not that short and i doubt my car will ever see 130-140 in quarter mile so i think as long as i dont go on any road trips i wont do any damage to my car. Thanx for all the help and advice also keith i will let you know if i need anything.
