what problems could a map sensor cause
after i hit like 4000rpms or so in my civic it bucks really bad like a lack of fuel and my buddy says its the map sensor....does anyone have any ideas on that being true...its a 92 ls in the car

Does your car throw a check engine light ?
If so, check your codes & resolve them. Also, look for vacuum leaks.

Well if the swap was done and this occured after the swap I check to make sure you didnt switch the MAP and TPS plugs around. The car would still run but you'd have the same problems.

i bought the car with the swap already in it...i never really had any problems with it till a lil while ago when the dizzy took a shit on me and now the map sensor
